Pot limit

A poker term used for the restriction of betting. In Pot Limit, the biggest bet or raise may only match the current pot size, as opposed to No Limit, where the range of betting is unlimited. For example, if there are 30 chips in the pot when Player A decides to bet, the most he can bet is another 30 chips. If Player B decided to raise, he would call the 30 from Player A (bringing the pot to 90), and could raise up to 90 more (This is because whenever someone raises in any form of poker, the raised amount includes the call of the original bet/raise with an extra amount on top). The most common forms of poker played Pot Limit are Omaha and Five Card Draw, and occasionally Texas Hold 'em.
